Yet another in the string of recalls concerning chicken, and more specifically, JERKY type dog treats.
The FDA has been investigating mysterious illnesses in pets for the past couple of years relating to Jerky style treats.
This week another voluntary recall was issued by Hartz after after trace amount of several unapproved antibiotics were reportedly discovered in treat samples. The antibiotics residues consisted of sulfaclozine, tilmicosin, trimethoprim, enrofloxacin and sulfaquinoxaline.

"The Hartz Mountain Corp. is withdrawing some 20,000 packages of chicken jerky pet treats in the U.S. after the firm's internal tests found trace amounts of antibiotic residue, the same problem that led to earlier recalls by top suppliers.
Hartz Chicken Chews and Hartz Oinkies Pig Skin Twists Wrapped with Chicken for dogs have been pulled voluntarily from retail shelves nationwide, according to the Secaucus, N.J., firm."

Canyon Creek Ranch brand dog treats and
Milo's Kitchen Chicken Jerky and
Chicken Grillers home-style dog treats
Chicken Tenders Dog Chew Treats by Publix stores, which recalled its private brand
Cadet Brand Chicken Jerky Treats sold in the U.S. by IMS Pet Industries Inc.,
