San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association (SDCVMA)
The San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association is a 501(c)6 Business League and membership organization comprised of over 660 members, both veterinarians and veterinary support staff working in more than 240 local veterinary facilities. Most members either work or reside in San Diego or Imperial County, but a few members are located in Riverside and Orange County.
The purpose of this association is to promote the art and science of veterinary medicine, including their relationship to the public health; to propagate a fraternal spirit among its members; to elevate the standards of the profession; and to provide excellent continuing education programs.
Veterinarians and their staff can find information about our major continuing education programs, and occasional monthly offerings by visiting the Continuing Education page. We produce a Spring and Fall Conference each year offering an in-depth study of one topic over two days — “immersion learning” in a 12 hour program. Also each Spring we host our well received “Specialists’ Update Sunday” Seminar featuring 12 Board Certified Specialists members, each providing a brief update in their specialty field for the general practitioner.
